I've been feeling sort of Christmasy lately. I love christmas so much, it makes me happy just to think about it. I love the long drawn out time between Halloween and Christmas. It's not exactly cold here but I enjoy looking out my window and seeing smoke coming from all chimneys. Why did I move to a place with no snow though!? I love snow, I'm craving heavily frosted rooftops. Plus, I have to say, I'm really looking forward to going home.
I would love to go to a German Christmas market, they look pretty marvelous.
I've been to two different Christmas markets in Germany! Our lovely German teacher pretty much campaigned forever until the principal would let us go on excursions there with our tiny German class. They are an amazing combination of hideous and hilarious and tacky and really fun and cozy. It's like a big ball of warm, fuzzy happiness, where you occasionally can't help but look around and go "yes but WHAT IS ALL THIS RIDICULOUS STUFF?!" It's a lot of fun, I won't deny.
You should take at trip to Leavenworth, Washington. It is a little Bavarian town and they do it up for Christmas. It is about 5 hours from here and you might need a 4 wheel drive in the winter, but it is so beautiful! We went last October and had so much fun.
