Black Forest [Nov. 8th, 2008|04:03 pm]
Julianna Swan
Ullabenulla just posted these wonderful carvings in her blog and I got so excited I had to post about them as well. They are like my dreams come true! I know things like this existed but I've never seen a whole website devoted to them. I wish I could have one, or a house filled with them!

I wish I could build a whole house around a black forest theme, this would be the crowning glory.

Will someone please carve some frames exactly like these for my drawings? I'll bake you cookies!

That one is actually a coat rack/hat stand, isn't it fantastic?

I wish! It would be a really big project. Probably not very practical. I bed you could make out of cardboard and paper... or cloth....

Those are fantastic! I want the fox with the wheelbarrow so much - my last name is Fox and my parents collected fox objects.

Thanks for the link - they really do look like they were made for you. Except the fox and the wheelbarrow.

Black Forest Carvings

I thought of you instantly when I saw these! They are like your artwork 3/D! So much of my love of 'Fairytale Style' fits into your desire of living in a 'Black Forest Cottage'! We are kindred souls my dear, and I am so grateful that I know you!
Hugs

Re: Black Forest Carvings

Perhaps someday... I'll come up to your area and teach! I have an application into Art And Soul right now, is that close by you?

Ack!! These are too much for my senses!! I'm quite in love!! I've been browsing some amazing black forest frames on EBay for the past week. I LOVE them so. The problem with framing work to sell, though, would be I don't think I could part with the frames!! tee hee!!
